Ok…I see your HPF problems in your very first picture…The pump will not prime itself, or get rid of any air bubbles when mounted in that position….

Please look at Fig 9 on page 25 of this PDF….Your pump head is mounted so that it cannot let the air out….

You also need to be sure you have a forward facing scoop over the thru-hull on the bottom…If not…Every time you run the boat over 8-9 knots the venturi effect of the water passing by will suck the water out of the pump…Then when you return the pump cannot re-prime itself because of the position it mounted in…You can also loose prime from the air bubbles caused by backing down into a slip…

The pump needs to be remounted as per the diagram, and I believe it will solve 99% of your problems.

So the pump output should be pointing up and not to the side as it was installed at the factory . . . . damn . . . sure wish they'd have done that and avoided the countless trips to the boat by a service tech (and my countless trips to the stealership with the boat), plus just over three years of the unit driving me crazy with HPF codes all the time.

So, problem one seems to be resolveable, but how does this all hook into my stinky burning smell?

If I had a…For every poor factory installation I've seen or repaired…Well…I'm still not rich but you get the point…

I'm afraid I can't help much from here about where it let the smoke out from…It could be anywhere from where the shore cord connects to the boat…To inside the A/C at a run capacitor…

I do know that these things must run on smoke…Cuz every time it gets let out they quit running  Wink

Seriously though…A complete inspection of all the A/C wiring is indicated…If you don't feel comfortable with doing that then it's time to call in some pro help…I suspect you burnt a connection but where I can't say.

Just so you know…Running without water or restricted water causes high amperage draw and letting out smoke….

Here is a PDF copy of your control manual…You need to confirm that Failsafe Level 3 (Pg 13) is set in the program mode.

Edit:  Dam…I did it again…Here's the manual link  http://www.dometic.com/FileOrg…..rt-I-O.pdf
