Correction to the date in the prevous post. We purchased the boat in June of 2007 not 1997. Thanks.

Thanks for all the help you have given so far. Is there a way to tell which board and keypad that I have? Do they look the same or is there some easy way to tell? I know when we purchased the boat in June of 1997, the owner was having trouble with the same forward ac unit and replaced the keypad during our purchase negotiations. I don't remember exactly what was happening but I think the unit was not cooling just the fan was blowing, but I'm not really sure.

Gee…I think I answered those questions…No ?

In your case I think the board is bad…But I don't know that…I'm not there to test it…

Trouble with a system is part of how I have made my living (sorry as it may have been)…Unfortunatley I'm not there to evaluate your's

I really wish I could help more from here…

I'm sorry I wasn't clear with the question, what I am trying to figure out is if I have the passport II or the passport I/O board and keypad since something was changed 3 years ago. Is there a way to know that by looking at the equipment? Thanks.

The Passport II will have No Penguin on the control…

The Passport I/O will have a (larger than the smaller one on earlier than Passport II controls) Penguin facing right.

I know it's confusing, but know that none of the controls talk to each other so if it was a working system…The board & the control had to match.

That is unless someone came along & installed a differing control on an existing board…but that would not work from the time they installed it.

If you can take a pic of the board I can ID it…

Once again Steve thanks for all the help. The kit arrived Thursday afternoon and I installed Friday evening. Both units are now working fine. I now have the old board and an old t-stat display that do not work properly. Are they of any use to you, if so I would be glad to send them to you, if not they will go in the trash. Thanks.
David
